How each award is checked
Honours and the King’s and Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are published by authority in The London Gazette, so each of those pages links to the page of the Gazette that names the winner. The Sunday Times 100 is a newspaper’s league table rather than a state award, so it has no Gazette entry, and its page links to the table itself. Anything we could not check against a record you can open is left off.
