Enter your current registration mark to limit results to registration marks that you can legally assign.

A registration mark must never make a vehicle look newer than it is. The age is carried in the mark itself, so DVLA will not assign one that post-dates the vehicle.

AB76 ABC carries the 76 identifier, which is issued from 1 Sept. 2026. It cannot be assigned to a vehicle first registered as new before that date, though it can go on anything registered on or after it.

A dateless or Northern Irish mark carries no age at all, so it fits a vehicle of any age and is never hidden here.
