VEC private plates at a glance

Each private plate on your shortlist is then marked to show whether it can go on your vehicle.

A registration mark must never make a vehicle look newer than it is, so a mark carrying an age identifier cannot go on a vehicle first registered before that identifier was issued. A dateless or Northern Irish mark carries no age and fits a vehicle of any age.

Your vehicle is remembered, so your search results are limited to it as well until you choose Change car.
