Suits a vehicle first registered in September 2018 or later (issued September 2018 to February 2019).
Enter the registration your vehicle carries now. We’ll look up the date it was first registered and tell you straight away whether PN68 CUS can go on it, with its MOT and tax.
A registration mark must never make a vehicle look newer than it is, so PN68 CUS cannot be assigned to a vehicle first registered before 1 Sept. 2018.
Your vehicle is remembered, so your search results are limited to it as well.

What you are ordering
You are ordering the right to display the registration mark PN68 CUS. Once we have secured it for you, it is yours. Every UK registration mark is unique, so this is the only one there is.
You are ordering the private plate only. Number plates are not included, so you will need a registered supplier to make them, and they must see your ID and your entitlement to the registration mark first. You can add a set above at any time before you check out.

How this registration mark is put together
PN68 CUS is made up of 3 parts. Point at one to see what it does.
- Area code PN
- The two letters the mark was first issued under. They carry no restriction: it can go on a vehicle anywhere.
- Age identifier 68
- The two digits say the half year it was issued. It can go on a vehicle first registered in that half year or later, never earlier.
- Letters CUS
- The part that usually carries a name or initials.
Current style private plates carry a two-digit age identifier in the middle. Those two digits fix the oldest vehicle it can go on.
How it works, step by step
- You order the private plate. You pay when you order, once we have confirmed PN68 CUS is still available, and we secure it straight after. If we are unable to supply it, you receive a full refund.
- Your V750 certificate is issued naming you as the person entitled to assign it, and nobody else can be nominated while it is yours. If you are assigning the private plate yourself, we post it to you, so allow a few days.
- You assign it to a vehicle yourself with DVLA Swansea, or hold it on the certificate until you are ready, or ask our trained staff to assign it to your vehicle for you.
- Your new V5C log book arrives showing the new registration mark.
- Tell your insurer, and anything else that knows your car by its registration, such as parking apps and breakdown cover.
Your money & your rights
- You pay when you order, once we have confirmed PN68 CUS is still available, and we secure it straight after. If we are unable to supply it, you receive a full refund.
- The price you see is the price you pay. No listing fee, no admin fee, no surprise at the checkout.
Cancellation. You ask us to begin at once so the private plate can be secured, and tick a box saying so, which is what puts it outside the cancellation rights in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Once the registration mark has been secured for you it cannot be cancelled: it is reserved and personal to you. If you change your mind, tell us in writing; for a £50.00 fee including VAT we refund any parts of your order not yet fulfilled and ask the DVLA once to cancel the documentation and refund the fee. Number plates are outside them for a different reason: they are made to display one registration mark and nothing else. This does not affect your other legal rights. Read our cancellation policy in full.
Common questions
Is PN68 CUS cheaper here than from the DVLA?
PN68 CUS is £398.00 here, £1.00 below the DVLA's published price of £399.00 (checked 16 Oct. 2026). Both prices include VAT and the £80.00 DVLA assignment fee. Assign it yourself at no further cost, or add number plates or our assignment service if you want them; the DVLA offers neither.
Can I put this on any vehicle?
Any vehicle first registered on or after 1 Sept. 2018, however new. Never an older one, because a registration mark must never make a vehicle look newer than it is. The vehicle must also be registered in the UK, taxed or on SORN, and available for inspection if the DVLA asks.
Do I have to put it on a car straight away?
No. Your V750 certificate holds the private plate in your name. You can keep it on the certificate and assign it whenever you like, as long as you renew the certificate before it expires.
What happens to my current registration?
Your vehicle’s original registration goes back to the DVLA. If you want to keep it, tell us before we start and we will put it on a V750 certificate that names you instead.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes. We can put the certificate in the recipient’s name, or in yours so you can hand it over. Tell us which when you order.
How long does it take?
Most transfers complete within a couple of weeks. Certificates come by post, which is usually the slowest part. We will keep you posted at each stage.
Is this an investment?
Some private plates have risen in value and some have not. We do not give investment advice and we make no promise about future value. Buy it because you want it.
